President Obama's Speech (Ashamed Republican Comments)
First let me start by saying that I am proud of our President. I think he not only gave a great speech, but gave one of the greatest calls to action in history.
I am also ashamed of the way that CNN, FOX and the republicans in the room somehow thought that the same old line of disagreement would actually pass for partisan benefit.
Clearly the health care plan being presented by President Obama is a great solution. Any member of the house or the senate who sat at any portion of this speach should be ousted at the next election.
As far as the argument of expense, maybe so, to those who stand to profit. But if you are a poor American you would not agree. Death is the ultimate price and not a price that the most fortunate of us should be willing to allow a fellow countryman to pay just because we want to be greedy.
I feel SO ASHAMED of my former republican status. I just feel sick about this. I have been considering lately to reaffiliate my party status to the Conservative party but unfortunately, I have heard NOTHING on the media channels from them.
I wonder where the United States will be 50 years from now if we keep this up. I mean really, the ideals of Ron Reagan would NEVER have made room for these people in the government who proclaim in his name to practice their politic.
I could go on for hours on this but just had to share some thoughts here. Any comments, I welcome them!
