It is certainly true that the Internet has come to age. It seems not so long ago that the WWW was just in its’ infancy and just look at it now! I think a great Political website is Barack Obama’s website. I signed into it a while back and gave his campaign a little money and put up my blog. Barack Obama | Doug Hauptman.
It was an exciting experience. The site has you give up your informatgion and your money before it allows you to do anything else. But it was well worth the $25.00. Once logged in, I was able to interact with the site in several exciting ways. First and formost I was able to write my blog, I had something to say!
Then I was able to get in touch with other people who also support Obama, and who are looking for change. The site also effectively empowers people to become involved and volunteer by setting up groups, meetings and other campaign activities.
They really got it right and hence the 1/4 billion dollars or so that they raised so far. Truly amazing! I remember when Amazon.com broke 250 million in sales the first time way back in 2001. Now it seems that if a website is well thought out and really addresses it’s audience it can really make a lot of money.
I have been fairly successful in my carreer in helping a good number of people make a good amount of money on the web but nothing that big so far. But I am sure I can do something like that, just need to find the right client looking for a great website marketer who wants to make it big on the web and has a reasonable budget to get started with.
