My Blog to Atlanta…
As some of you may know by now, Google is giving blogs which are not spam blogs really good ranks. That’s right, Google give top ranks to good blogs! Blog’s are the very best way to get in the search engines because Google want’s it that way. Why, you might ask?
Simple. Blogs use RSS / xml which both are very easy to get, read and index into their systems. Imagine you are Google for a moment. You have thousands of computers all networked together all serving up the Google search results to the world. You have millions of websites and billions of pages to index. RSS and xml are very small in file size which make them very easy to index. Bottom line.
So what does that mean, you might ask? Well, that means that Page Rank no longer matters too much any more. In case you didn’t know niether do meta tags and such. What about linking, you might ask? Good question, linking is still alive and well, however, if you are linking just to link, Google will find out and will drop you like a hot potato. If you have linked to a link farm, which Google considers what they call a “bad neighborhoods” then you have even more trouble.
So if meta tags and Page Rank are dead and linking is still good but you can’t just go and get a bunch of links especially from link farms then what should I do, you might ask?
You should have me install a WordPress blog and customize it for your site. Then you should have me do some training on WordPress blogging for you so you can begin to wage your very own “social marketing” campaign.
